In September 2024, Krnov was hit by floods of unprecedented proportions, which inundated approximately 80% of the town. Among the buildings affected was the Secondary School of Industry, where water penetrated the basement, ground floor and gymnasium. We were approached by the school principal to help with repairs to the flooded areas.
What is our mission?
We have a lot of work ahead of us in rebuilding the school. Key tasks include:
- Wet plaster stripping
- Dehumidification and drying of the premises
- Application of new plasters and tiles
- Laying the paving
- Provisional repair of damaged windows
What are we done now?
We have now completed the first two phases of the work – we have removed the damp plaster and thoroughly dried the premises. Paradoxically, older buildings dry faster than modern low-energy buildings.
Our mission
Our priority is to return the premises to their original state as quickly as possible so that pupils can change in the changing rooms they are used to and can use the gym again for sports activities.
Work is continuing and we are doing our best to get the Krnov Secondary School back to normal operation as soon as possible. Keep an eye on our progress and thanks to everyone involved in the restoration!
