What do we check when inspecting load-bearing and suspension elements?

• Steel load-bearing and balancing ropes of all designs and diameters, including rope braids and pressed end sleeves,

How is TECHARTSTAV’s inspection and service carried out?

1. Detailed periodic inspections and professional inspections

We carry out certified periodic inspections of steel ropes and chains in accordance with the standards ČSN BS ISO 4309 (for ropes) and ČSN EN 818 (for chains). The output is an official inspection report and registration sheet of lashing equipment, which serves as a valid document for state professional supervision bodies, safety equipment and insurance companies.

The inspection includes:

• Visual inspection of the entire rope course for the presence of wire loops, unraveling, corrosion, flattening or broken wires,
• Measurement of the decrease in rope diameter and extension of chain link spacing due to wear,
• Checking deformations, cracks and wear of shackles, hooks, carabiners and turnbuckles,
• Non-destructive inspection of critical welds and forged parts of anchor elements,
• Checking the readability of load-bearing capacity labels (WLL) and safety markings of lashing loops and chains.

2. Preventive maintenance and treatment

We will extend the life of your ropes and chains to the maximum. Our preventive service of load-bearing elements includes professional cleaning of ropeways, application of special preservative and lubricating greases that reduce internal friction, adjustment of the tension of ropeways and correct seating of ropes in rope drums.

3. Replacement of discarded elements and repairs

If during the inspection we discover an element that no longer meets safety limits, we will immediately propose its replacement. We supply and install certified steel ropes and custom-made chains, including pressing new ends, replacing damaged hooks or replacing complete sets of binding equipment.

4. Passporting and registration of binding equipment

We will help you to tidy up the registration of equipment. We will implement a clear system of recording and marking of suspension elements, thanks to which you will have an absolute overview of the history, load capacity and dates of the next inspections of each individual yoke or rope in your theater.
