Reconstruction of the puppet theatre roofs
The roof structure exhibited problem areas such as areas of inadequate drainage, areas of water accumulation, clogged roof drains, leaking pipes leading from roof drains, inadequately designed HVAC penetrations, and a large number of roof accessories that prevent direct stormwater runoff into the associated pipes (such as air ducts, gas lines, etc.). The solution consisted of cleaning the substrate of the existing roof structure, applying a primer coat, a waterproofing layer in the form of a strip of SBS modified asphalt, a thermal insulation layer of polystyrene foam, a separation layer of non-woven fabric and a waterproofing layer of PVC-P roofing membrane for mechanical anchoring.
