Techartstav is pleased to announce that, following its success in a public tender, it has officially commenced construction work on the project “Renovation of the SVČ Ostrčilova Theater Hall.” This project, located in the cadastral area of Moravská Ostrava, represents a very interesting addition to our current portfolio of public sector projects for 2026.
The project is commissioned by the City of Ostrava, specifically the Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz district, which, through this investment, aims to fundamentally modernize the cultural and educational infrastructure in the city center. It is an honor for our TECHARTSTAV team to transform this space in accordance with the highest standards of contemporary construction and safety.
Synergies within the group: Koexpro’s involvement
One of the cornerstones of the successful and precise execution of this project is the utilization of our group’s internal resources. All steel and iron structural and engineering components will be manufactured and supplied by our subsidiary, Koexpro.
Working with specialists from Koexpro allows us to:
- Maximum quality control: From the production of specific load-bearing structures to detailed metalwork elements in the hall’s interior.
- Scheduling flexibility: Thanks to the direct link between production and installation, we eliminate the risks associated with external suppliers of steel structures.
- Technical precision: Production is tailored to the unique requirements of the theater space, which is essential for the installation of modern stage technology.
Technical Framework for Modernization
The project is being carried out in accordance with the approved implementation documentation (contract number 1.24.158), and it places high demands on the coordination of trades and the integration of specialized technological systems.
Key engineering and construction aspects of the project:
- Structural interior modifications: Renovation of existing structures and installation of new structural elements to ensure the long-term durability of the building at Ostrčilova 19/2925.
- Acoustic engineering: Implementation of certified acoustic systems to achieve optimal reverberation parameters, which is an essential prerequisite for professional operation.
- Modernization of technical equipment: Installation of comprehensive high-voltage and low-voltage wiring systems and a smart lighting control system.
- Safety standards: Ensuring the fire resistance of structures and evacuation routes in accordance with current legislation for assembly spaces.

Schedule and Progress of Work
The tender process, which began on January 28, 2026, was concluded with the signing of the contract and the subsequent handover of the construction site. At this stage, we are focusing on preparatory and demolition work, which is being carried out under strict safety measures.
The deadline for submitting bids (February 16, 2026) revealed intense competitive pressure, which our company successfully navigated thanks to a balanced combination of technical expertise and the ability to manufacture key components in-house. We are prepared to meet the contractual deadlines and deliver the hall for use in the promised top-quality condition.
